Design of Boathouse

During my third studio in my sophomore year, the focal point was the design of a boathouse, a departure from the previous bathhouse project. This endeavor required grappling with a larger scale, which proved to be a valuable learning experience. Exploring the intricacies of a boathouse and its multifaceted necessities was particularly intriguing, delving into the essential design principles inherent in conceptualizing structures of such that are needed within the design.

Throughout this project, I continued to emphasize a hands-on approach, relying primarily on manual techniques to craft my designs. Similar to previous endeavors, I employed charcoal as the primary medium for my final pieces, adding a tactile and expressive quality to my work. This project provided a platform to comprehend the unique design skills and complexities associated with designing on a larger scale, enriching my understanding of architectural concepts essential for such ambitious endeavors.
